About the designer

Patterns made to be worn and well made

crochica began as a personal practice of designing wearable crochet, from hooded scarves to cozy everyday accessories. Each pattern is written for real hands and real yarn, then tested until the instructions hold up.

Design principles

Function first, then the finishing touches

A hooded scarf should keep you warm, sit comfortably at the neck, and hold its shape after a long day. I plan each garment around fit, fabric weight, and the way the hood frames the face, so the pattern works before any color or texture is added.

Every pattern is tested for clarity and comfort, with stitch counts checked row by row and sizing notes written for the yarn and hook you are likely to use. The goal is a clear path from the first chain to the finished piece, with room to make it your own.

A note on craft

Take your time with each stitch. Natural fibers reward patience, and the best handmade pieces are the ones made slowly.
